The Bishops Tawton Book
A tiny memory stick holding two years of work has gone to our publishers, Holsgrove. The book contains over 300 photographs as well as information about the village in the past and peoples’ memories. It has been written by three ladies from the village. We did this as a gift to the community so we receive no money ourselves from the book sales. Halsgrove work in an unusual way, they will only publish the book if we manage to sell 400 copies in advance, so your support is vital! They have done this for many villages and it has been successful. Over the next ten days we are planning to deliver the leaflet with information about the book and how to order a copy to each house in the village. We will try to attend as many village functions as possible with the leaflets and there will be some in the shop and hopefully in the pubs too. We hope you enjoy reading it.
